Banal

April 6, 2020 - Leave a Response

Locked away, in the shadow of a faded sun.

Where your love once brought peace, it clouds my existence in an esoteric shroud.

Where your smile once brought joy, it laughs me into a vortex of banality.

Where your touch once teased ecstasy, it flushes the pill down the drain.

Where your taste once brought me to my knees, the thought pains me –

That I stay.

Locked away –

in the shadow of a faded sun.

Because Some(time) Some(thing) is Better than N0(thing)

November 12, 2019 - Leave a Response

What good is the life of a battery, if it is running to nothing. Except in a circle round the Dairy Queen, I sit and W(one)der… is this a blunder? A simple glitch in fatality with thoughts of sunshine, or absolved resolutions that could set you free, yet denial blocks forgiveness. But forgiveness is not for him or her, you see, it’s for you. Not for me.

For only in forgiveness can you be set free, to fly higher than birds and bees.

Litha Celebration & Ritual with SueVee!

June 20, 2018 - Leave a Response

Hello Light Workers!

It is our time to Shine! I am so thrilled you have decided to ritual with me on this glorious eve of Litha (Summer Solstice). There are only two Solstice during the year Summer & Winter and both represent the necessary balance of light (prosper) & dark (withdrawl). As I’m sure you’re feeling the pain, hurt, and shame running through the veins of Earth, there are light workers out there working to reverse this plight! So let us ritual on this the longest day of the year, where the veil between dimensions is thin. Giving love and gratitude to Gaia and the Multiverse for all that is done and will be done.

The precise time of Litha this year is 3:07am PST & 6:07am EST and here is how we can celebrate life and light together.

Setting up your Altar:

Preferably have your altar outside so it gets the full effect of the sun’s strength.

*Start by gathering flowers and herbs that best represent solar colors (yellow, orange, and fiery reds). The best way to gather any living thing is to give an offering to the plant (usually water), and then asking if it is ok to pluck its fruit (the flowers or leaves). If you are respectful and the plant is not sickly more than likely you will feel a “yes”. It is important, however, to take from these living beings not in bounty but leaving it as if you were seemingly never there, and taking from the tops of the plant.  Adorn your altar with these flowers/herbs.

*Place solar-colored candles on the altar

*Place any sort of sun symbol (circles are usually represented as sun symbols)

*And any offerings you wish to give to Litha and the Spirit realm.

Written Ritual

Litha is not just a time to prosper, but also a perfect time to set intention. List all of the things you wish to manifest during the next 6 months. Be concise and complete. Such things can include: confidence, patience, compassion, financial goals, career goals, etc.. You can chose to keep this paper on your altar, and burn it during the fire ritual (see the next step) or keep it on your altar, and thereafter close with you during the next several months as you experience change and growth.

Fire Ritual

Now here comes the fun part! You don’t necessarily have to be tucked away in nature to have a fire ritual, you could use your stove (placing a cauldron/pot on top, just be careful!) Cast a circle of safe space where no harm or negativity is allowed to enter. Begin my praising the Earth and all of its bounty.

Then light your fire. Now say, “Litha is upon us, the great wheel of the year has turned once more. Today the light is bright, and tomorrow it will begin to fade.”  Turn to the East and say: “From the East come the winds, which brings pollen to bees and spreads vital seeds.” Turn to the South and say: “The sun rises high into the sky to illuminate our darkest paths.” Turn to the West and say: “The West brings mists and rain, our vital life force. Without which we would cease to exist.” Turn to the North and say: “The Earth resides beneath my feet, damp and cool. Which will one day die and then again be reborn.”

Build your fire a bit more now. At this time if you have any offerings you would like to give toss them into the fire, as well as your list of manifestations (if you choose to do so).

Now say (feel free to place the name of the deity(ies) you most closely follow/feel closest to: “May the triple goddess watch over me, this earth and all its beings. I give to you, mighty beings, my honor and integrity. Please bless me with your light and abundance, as the sun does for the Earth. I make this offering to show my unwavering dedication to you. On this day of Litha I celebrate the Sun and Moon, God and Goddess, Light and Dark.

Now allow yourself time to stare into the fire and meditate on your ritual and intentions, if you are able to do so allow the fire to go out on its own.

**It is important to note that before any ritual it is a great idea to “purify” yourself, through physical bathing and/or meditation to make sure your mind and body are clear so magick may flow through your body and spirit.

Lithia Prayer for Earth

author unknown

“Great God, Father of the Earth,
Shine down on this, your strongest day.
Blessed Goddess who gave us Birth,
Bless us who honor your ancient way.
As Summer’s light falls to the ground,
lending crops and trees it’s power,
the Summer winds blow warm and round,
touching the corn silk and the flowers.
We give you thanks, our Mother Earth,
We praise you, fire of the Sun.
We dance this Solstice day with Mirth,
from dawns’ first light ’till the day is done.”

Happy Solstice! I love each and everyone of you so deeply! Feel my love! We are stronger together than we are apart!

Blessed Be.

A return looms in the future. Brahma, life’s joke. The cyclical nature of it all. De todo. Back to the source. Roll up your sleeves. Or just take your clothes off. Exfoliating spirits in the distant familiar sentiment of yesteryear. A time to recharge and bathe within the depths of your soul. Oh, how these dedos slide across the keys so diligently, as if Mavis Beacon were my aunty, I feel free. Those moments that sweep you deep inside of its essence and refuses to let go. A grasp so tenacious, disassociation becomes beyond the bounds of limitations.   Lost in the intensity of its presence, so beautiful…so present. So wistfully patient these happenings unfold, and all the while I worry them through, hoping they will lead me back to you.

Into The Unknown

March 4, 2015 - Leave a Response

Into The Unknown
4.March.2015

To follow your true passion is the single most terrifying adventure you will ever embark on. In my humble opinion, at least. Albeit it can, and it will, heed the most beneficial results in the long run. I am currently going through what one would call a “Quarter Life Crisis”: I’m 25, I’m earning money but not in a place where I want to be, I am extremely blessed but still find things to complain about, and my goals are bigger than my grasp (financially and at times mentally, speaking). And so, I feel quite lost. I know exactly what I want to do with my life, and who I need to be, so now what?

The name of the game is happiness, that is why we do anything we do. Some fill somber voids with clothes, drugs, food, sex, alcohol, a career. But the reason why any of us actuate these activities is to ultimately find our own personal happiness. It is innate to be happy, and it is not a crazy ideology to come into fruition. To pledge one’s life to the classic ‘pursuit of happiness’, there must be a great amount of time dedicated to this goal. In our modern fast-paced society, we seem to devote the majority of our time to the sacred fortress where we make money. Let’s face it, money and financial security are the backbone of this society. Evolving from a land built on hard work, we have come to associate the amount of hours put towards labor and the types of labor to ultimately dictate our annual salaries.

The next question to ask, having accepted this as a general fact, is how can I manipulate my time towards doing what I truly want to do without compromising my happiness? That should be easy, right? Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, my passions don’t fall in line with a clear cut path such as: go to college, to graduate in this major, to get an internship with this company, to get an entry level position at said company, and excel to CEO in 30 years. Not even close. For the record, I don’t hold any malcontent towards those who have chosen this path, we all color this existence in our unique ways!

My passions lie within the arts, I am a singer/songwriter/musician, a writer, a poet, and renowned neurotic humaniod. I frequently ask myself, how can anyone actually make a serious living from a career in the arts? By serious living I mean the ability to care of your family, yourself, and a possible prospective family (babies, significant others, etc.) All of that takes cash and unbridled determination, especially in the freelance/entrepreneurial world. My current job is enjoyable, I am a bartender, and thoroughly appreciate my co-workers. But the main issue here, is the thought of waking up in the morning knowing I have to go to work, it makes my stomach turn. Now, this may sound a little dramatic, but it is only to emphasize my burning desire to stop devoting hours of my life into something I have absolutely no interest in. Yet, I do have an interest in bartending: the science behind a good libation is fascinating, and I do enjoy a well-crafted beverage. Nevertheless, I’ve been seriously rethinking my life choices such as, quitting my job (with no other job on the horizon), and simply throwing myself into my music and writing. Essentially, throwing my life into the desolate abyss, (think Neitzsche on this one!) I will no longer be financially stable, at least for a period of time.

Which leads me into the serious insecurities of pushing my life into the unknown. There is an undeniable fear of failure. What if I do take this leap and fall flat on my face? What if I make negative dollars from this self investment? What if my family gives me grief for being ‘irresponsible’? Am I doomed to walk this earth alone!? Okay, so maybe the last one was a little much, but seriously. It is inevitable, as with any risk, a grand outcome will occur whether it be ‘good’ or ‘bad’.

But when you really break it down, isn’t any failure just success turned inside out? Looking back on my formative years, and even yesterday, I have tried things and failed. However, I have never actually failed because I now allow myself to learn lessons from the most adverse of situations. I do believe everything happens for its purpose, and if this is my true ideology, I should rest assured that by listening to my somatic markers, I am only being taught a lesson in order to better prepare myself for the glories that my future holds. As the new year turned I made the decision to place fearlessness at the precipice of my thought process. And right next to that, happiness.
I have realized I’m not a girl who enjoys answering to higher authorities on a daily basis. I don’t like micromanagement, or work anxieties: “Am I gonna get fired?” “Damnit, I went over my 30 minutes again.” “Great I overslept, gotta call my boss and probably get chewed out.” You know, that sort of thing. It’s not for me. As previously stated I can be neurotic, thus being able to turn a mole hill into a mountain is, at times, my specialty. So you can imagine my day-to-day life in a workplace, whether it be writing memos or serving a single scotch on the rocks.

I have a firm belief that we posses passions for a purpose. And that greater purpose, once actualized, will make the world just a little bit brighter. I believe by following our passions we are doing our part to spread light across the world. Think about it, the most shady or unhappy people you meet are usually shady because they are trying to crush a couple of extra bucks out of your wallet, or they absolutely hate their job and in turn take out their personal frustrations on loved ones or strangers. Please keep in mind I am not saying everyone in these predicaments act in such a manner, it is just a general aspect of life I have run into quite frequently. But speaking with people who love what they do, and don’t sully passions with dollar signs, they are the most infectious people of all. Their aura’s radiate such inspiration and a warming sense of comfort. And this is my goal. I don’t want to walk this earth diffusing negativity, I feel this world has enough of it. Thoughts become things, and as long as your goals are kept in mind and you are working towards them, consider them manifested. Giving into doubts will only hinder the beauties this life holds.

I say all of this, to convey a final message to you, I have decided to take the road less traveled and I am certain it will make all the difference.

The eccentricity in coloured lights
further explain the (loneli)ness of the hour.
Of late I think of Cliffordville –
Band concerts chase the sensuality of the young.
Concepts longing a rest for the (wicked),
yet the wicked doth dwell within the swollen tit of an angel.
Holding an energy so effervescent
it seems rather comical he looked to another.

A new beginning reaps the benefits of a previous end.
Cyclical catharsis channels cosmic collisions betwixt —

true lovers intertwined in a (venom)ous embrace,
Where the bitter end will meet the sullen beginning
Over and Over and all continuous until eternity has made the decision to stop laughing at us all.

and we have decided to mutilate eternity into non-infinite linear existence.

By the Oceanside in the Midst of Twilight ☮

Twilight – the language that the wave doth speak.
High tide past a parting sea.
Pangs of humanity pervade my mental equation.
No persuasion to an essential destination –
Past the undulation of moral inhibitions.
Tried anxieties justified in samsaric realms,
Systems of what?
Nothing – in a sense.
Competition not a grounded expectation.
Go with the oscillation of your relative inclination.
Sit close to the sea appreciate afar, or near, journey (unclear).
O sweet misty ocean kiss, intertwined in sweet sorrow.
Whispering wind of empty love, (unpromised) of tomorrow.

Read Between The Lines

March 14, 2014 - Leave a Response

There comes a time in our lives,
You can’t ignore the signs.
So be gentle and be kind.
And Read Between the Lines.

But don’t you be alarmed,
Of how the path of heaven is drawn.
Cus you know that Love is blind,
So Read Between the Lines.

Is Love an image of ourselves?
Or a gateway to hell?
I don’t know which kind,
So I’ve got to Read Between the Lines.

I heard Love is Blind.
So I choose,
To Read Between the Lines.

A House.

Your eyes are sinking far away from you now.

Downward it spirals past the point of oblivious hopes and depleted embraces.

Stopping over in a small town once fit for your soul,

Now only hollow rhythms resound from a space once so full.

Feelings fade faster than the sun will set in a day,

And you’ve already bled yourself dry for love,

At least what you thought it was.

Such a desolate touch of fate unmistaken,

Barren she rises, Mother Earth, to give her final plea.

Universe help me, for I house a species –

So vacuous in forgiveness and numb to consequences.

She screams so loud – yet you sit there proud.

Corn Soaked Air

January 19, 2014 - Leave a Response

Baby,
We lost before we started.
Supple feelings (tingling) in a hatred upon the throne of my love to your heart.
Stone cold – its visage once read, but an illusion.
So much sorrow and pain resonate within the walls of your smile,
And the only way to realize this, is the fact that I suffer from the same.
Counterface artifacts of what really was,
Deplete the moment of love once felt, under the brilliant stars shimmering in corn soaked air.
